Haiwaan, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming thriller, finally has a release date. The makers announced on Saturday (June 27, 2026) that the Priyadarshan directorial will be released in theatres on September 11.As per a press release, “Haiwaan is a taut thriller packed with suspense and high-stakes drama.” It also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher in pivotal roles and marks the reunion of Akshay and Saif after 18 years. The two last worked together in Tashan (2008).Haiwaan is reportedly inspired by Priyadarshan’s 2016 thriller, Oppam, which featured Mohanlal as a blind man protecting the daughter of a judge. The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn. More details from it are awaited.Meanwhile, Akshay and Priyadarshan collaborated earlier this year for the horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla. The two will be coming together again for Hera Pheri 3, which also stars Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. Saif was last seen playing a cop in Netflix’s crime-thriller, Kartavya.
