Last fall, the Centre for Heterodox Social Science conducted a poll that indicated that, after peaking in 2023, the number of young Americans identifying as gay, queer, or pansexual has dropped considerably. While the study claimed that these statistics do not “appear to be connected to lower social media use, religious revival, a shift to the political right or lower support for woke ideology,” this decline, combined with zoomers’ relatively lower support for gay marriage—69 percent compared to 73 percent of millennials—would seem to indicate that something is going on.
