The LOC for the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup has thrown its support behind Bafana Bafana and the Proteas Women as both teams represent South Africa on the world's biggest sporting stages.

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup has wished Bafana Bafana and the Proteas Women every success as they compete on the world's biggest sporting stages.

The committee said the nation is rallying behind both teams, describing the moment as a powerful example of sport's ability to inspire, unite and instil pride across South Africa and the African continent.

LOC Chairperson Trevor Manuel said the organisation hopes to build on this spirit when South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe co-host the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.

"The LOC looks forward to building on this spirit when South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe host the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, welcoming the world to Africa for one of the globe's premier sporting events," Manuel said.
