A post about a former Bangalorean looking back at the city with nostalgia has gone viral on X. Taking to the microblogging site, user Dibakar Dutta revealed that he is leaving the city where he had lived for over 10 years and relocating to his Tier 3 hometown in Tripura (Northeast India) for the foreseeable future. He recalled how, when he came to Bengaluru at the age of 16, he was completely amazed by the people, culture and opportunities in his new home. Dutta reminisced how Bengaluru was far more than just a destination for work—it represented ambition, possibility, and the belief that an ordinary background did not have to define one's future. The city opened doors to experiences and aspirations that had once seemed far beyond reach, offering a glimpse of a life they had never imagined growing up.— dibakardutta_ (@dibakardutta_) Because of everything Bengaluru had given him, he never allowed everyday inconveniences to overshadow his gratitude. In his eyes, the city had always offered a far richer life than the place he had left behind, making its occasional challenges seem insignificant in comparison. He ended the note by observing how Kannadigas were always warm and welcoming towards him. The post went viral and garnered over 2.5 K likes. Responding to his post, one X user wrote: “Thank you brother.. We kannadigas always welcome grateful people like you.. You are anytime welcomed to this city.. Lot to learn for ungrateful people who come make use of the city and talk bad about local Kannadigas.. All the best brother.. God bless you..”Another commented: “Wonderful. May you be happy in your home town. Bangalore will always be your second home.”
