A 43-year-old non-teaching staff member of a public primary school in Ilorin, Amuda Olubukola, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, for allegedly impregnating a 14-year-old pupil.
Saturday gathered that the suspect allegedly subjected the Primary 4 pupil to repeated sexual abuse until a resulting pregnancy exposed the illicit acts.
Confirming the development in a statement issued on Friday, the NSCDC spokesperson, Micheal Ayoola, disclosed that the operative’s Gender Unit swung into action immediately after receiving a formal complaint.
Detailing how the suspect allegedly manipulated and silenced the minor, Ayoola explained that tactical coercion and physical restraint were used during the assaults.
“The victim further alleged that the suspect repeatedly promised to marry her before allegedly subjecting her to the abuse. During the incidents, he covered her mouth to prevent her from raising an alarm,” he said.
