The Kwara State Police Command has arrested two suspected cult members during intelligence-led operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks operating within Ilorin metropolis.
The suspects, identified as 33-year-old Abdullahi Omotoho and Abdullahi Kawu, popularly known as “B-Red,” were apprehended in separate operations following credible intelligence and sustained surveillance by operatives of the command.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Friday, adding that a locally fabricated firearm was recovered from the suspects.
According to the statement, Omotoho, was said to be a member of the Klans-Avea cult group operating within Ilorin metropolis.
