Upon seeing a turtle in a yard, the person thought he was doing the right thing. He scooped up the red-eared slider from a Leslieville home, took it to the grounds of the Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club and released it into the wild.
What he didn’t know was that the turtle was a beloved pet, who had been right at home in its family’s yard. A few hours later on Monday, Crystal Lam, a 19-year-old university student, was out with her family looking for the missing reptile, when the person came back.
