Hulu Orders Teen Political Drama Pilot ‘Young Americans’ From Chris Hutton & Eddie O’Keefe, Bruce Miller to Produce

Hulu has given out a pilot order to the drama “Young Americans,” Variety has learned.
The pilot hails from writers and executive producers Chris Hutton and Eddie O’Keefe. Bruce Miller is onboard as an executive producer via White Oak Pictures, with White Oak’s Priscilla Porianda also executive producing. 20th Television is the studio. The logline for the show states, “As the children of the nation’s elite battle it out at Capitol Crest Academy in Washington D.C., their teenage dramas begin to mirror the larger political games of their parents. Amidst the secrets, scandals, and deadly ambitions, a forbidden romance between two students from opposing political families threatens to escalate tensions to a breaking point.”
