The Tiruchi City Cyber Crime Police have arrested a man from Rajasthan on charges of cheating people by creating fake websites in the name of Yatri Nivas at Srirangam. The Yatri Nivas is run by the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple authorities for the devotees seeking boarding facility. A police release on Friday said following complaints that devotees had been cheated through fake websites created in the name of Yatri Nivas, the Tiruchi City Cyber Crime Police registered a case and launched an investigation. During the investigation, the Cyber Crime Police arrested F. Jafer, 23, hailing from Bharatpur district in Rajasthan on charges of indulging in internet fraud pertaining to creating fake websites of Yatri Nivas.
