Naftogaz Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have signed a memorandum to expand cooperation. In addition, JSC Ukrnafta will receive a €44.6 million grant to build distributed generation facilities.
According to Ukrinform, Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi announced this on Facebook.
“We are deepening Naftogaz Group strategic partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience. At URC‑2026 in Gdańsk, we signed a memorandum to expand cooperation in energy security, recovery, and infrastructure modernization,” Koretskyi wrote.
During a meeting between Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and EBRD President Odile Renaud‑Basso, the parties discussed specific parameters of cooperation, including financial mechanisms for purchasing imported gas for the upcoming heating season.
