Al Bello / Getty ImagesJune 26, 2026 9:09 am EDT Updated Manny Pacquiao’s team believe his rematch with Floyd Mayweather is postponed pending the American fighter’s ongoing contract dispute with multimedia firm CSI Sports.The pair were due to meet in September in a rematch of their highly-lucrative first bout from 2015.Netflix announced that they would broadcast the bout on September 19 from The Sphere in Las Vegas, although they no longer hold a booking at that venue and the bout was expected to be pushed back until later in the month at a different arena in the Nevada city.But Mayweather has become embroiled in a contract dispute with CSI Sports over an exhibition bout which was due to take place this weekend against Mike Zambidis in Greece.CSI Sports filed an injunction in the U.S. Southern District Court of New York in a bid to stop the event, as they believed it was a breach of contract surrounding agreements they have with Mayweather for bouts with Pacquiao and Mike Tyson.It was later cancelled with no broadcaster in place and tickets having been taken off sale before any legal ruling.However, in court documents seen by The Athletic, CSI Sports have also filed a motion in an attempt to prohibit Mayweather from entering into any other contracts before facing Tyson and then Pacquiao – or “a fighter acceptable to CSI Entertainment Events” – as per their agreement.Court records show that CSI Sports would plan to stage the Mayweather-Tyson exhibition bout in September, thus pushing back the proposed Pacquiao fight until at least late 2026 or early 2027.This has led to Pacquiao’s team believing the bout will not go ahead in September as planned, although if Mayweather were to resolve his contract disputes that could still change.
