Businessman and alleged police informant, Tumelo Nku to resume his testimony before the Madlanga Commission at 2pm.
Businessman and alleged police informer Tumelo Nku’s testimony has been postponed to Monday after fresh developments prompted a temporary adjournment to allow him to submit a supplementary statement.
The Madlanga Commission halted proceedings on Friday until 2pm after Nku's legal representative, Adv. Piet du Plessis, and Evidence Leader Adv. Teboho Mosikili requested additional time to address new issues that emerged during his testimony.
"There is a recent development that we need to have further interaction with Nku and potentially supplement some of the statements that he has provided to the commission. The request is to stand down," Mosikili told the commission.
Commission chairperson Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga granted the application, while commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels confirmed that proceedings would resume at 2pm.
