Desay Battery has taken part in the 2026 edition of the Smarter E Europe, showcasing its full portfolio of solutions spanning battery cells, systems, safety technologies and manufacturing services, launching its static immersion technology and proactive safety management system, while also unveiling a series of new cell and system products.
On display at the company’s booth was its full lineup of energy storage cells, including 100 Ah, 314 Ah and 587 Ah lithium-ion (LFP) batteries, as well as a 43 Ah sodium-ion cell. The 587 Ah high-capacity LFP cell is made for utility-scale storage plants, directly addressing the demand for lower costs and higher efficiency. Making its European debut, the 30 Ah-class solid-liquid state battery boasts an energy density exceeding 420 Wh/kg. First introduced in China in April this year, the cell has successfully passed rigorous nail penetration and 300 °C hot plate tests, positioning it as a next-generation technology solution.
The static immersion technology demonstrated at the show departs from conventional indirect liquid or air cooling. By physically isolating battery cells from the external environment, it fundamentally blocks thermal runaway propagation pathways. In the event of thermal runaway, the insulating liquid rapidly dissipates heat and cuts off oxygen contact, reducing accident risks to an absolute minimum. In addition, the multi-dimensional proactive safety management system integrates temperature-pressure sensors embedded inside the cells with millisecond-level multi-parameter monitoring, intelligent early warning and active suppression. The system can provide 30-day advance warning of thermal runaway risks, marking a decisive shift from passive protection to active defence.
