Ukraine is monitoring all changes in Belarus' military and infrastructure activity and is prepared to respond to any potential risks.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha said this while speaking to journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Asked what Ukraine expects from Belarus, the foreign minister said he would rather explain what Ukraine does not expect.
"We do not expect them to take part in the war. We proceed from the assumption that they will not allow Russia to draw them into this war, that they will avoid being dragged into it and avoid provocations, because Ukraine will respond in kind. I believe the Lukashenko regime understands and realizes this," Sybiha said.
He also said that yesterday, through the Ukrainian Embassy in Minsk, the Foreign Ministry received a diplomatic note from the Belarusian side proposing a certain procedure for visiting the border zone, while referring to documents that are no longer valid.
