Chinese AI start-up Zhipu AI, also known as Z.ai, has become one of the top AI tools in the world, after its latest model ranked nearly on par with the top US LLMs.
The company’s GLM-5.2 was released days after a US government order forced Anthropic to cut off access to its latest Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models, increasing its appeal.
It is now the third most widely used in the world, after models from Anthropic and OpenAI, according to Arena AI, which monitors real-world AI usage.
