Three dominant foreign e-commerce players in Thailand posted combined revenue of roughly 172 billion baht in 2025.

TikTok Shop ranked second in revenue generation for the first time, while Shopee remained the market leader, though its profit declined. TikTok Shop posted the highest profit in the market last year.

Revenue for the trio surged last year despite a challenging economy. The value of the e-commerce market in 2024 tallied 89 billion baht.

The Straits Times recently reported regional e-commerce company Lazada cut 5% of its workforce in Southeast Asia after Shopee laid off 8% of its global developers, reflecting intense competition and a drive for greater efficiency.

According to business analytics firm Creden Co, TikTok Shop's revenue rose 350% to 54.4 billion baht last year, while its profit increased 184% to 3 billion baht, reversing a loss of almost 4 billion baht in 2024.
