Crunchyroll has acquired the international streaming rights for the eagerly anticipated upcoming anime series “Kagurabachi.”

Additionally, the streamer has confirmed actor Katsuyuki Konishi has joined the Japanese voice cast as Togo Shiba and unveiled a new teaser featuring a first look at the character in the “Kagurabachi” anime TV series. The previously announced cast for the Cypic-produced show includes Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira and Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira.

Based on the popular “Weekly Shonen Jump” manga by Takeru Hokazono, “Kagurabachi” was first announced in April by animated studio Cypic and set for an April 2027 debut. The show is now slated to stream at that time on Crunchyroll in all territories excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea and South Korea.

“Kagurabachi’s” dark story follows swordsman Chihiro Rokuhira as he seeks vengeance against a group of sorcerers while wielding a powerful, magical katana.

The “Kagurabachi” anime adaptation is directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, with character design by Keigo Sasaki, and animation produced by Cypic (“Umamusume: Cinderella Gray,” “The Summer Hikaru Died”).
