The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has unveiled an ambitious "Quantum-Ready 2030" roadmap and a national artificial intelligence (AI) security strategy to address cyberthreats driven by AI, quantum computing and cloud technologies.AVM Amorn Chomchoey, secretary-general of the NCSA, said the roadmap aims to ensure government agencies and businesses transition to the post-quantum cryptography (PQC) era before quantum computers become capable of breaking today's widely used encryption algorithms.

The roadmap focuses on planning migration to PQC, preparing national digital infrastructure for post-quantum security, developing skilled personnel and strengthening the cybersecurity system, and establishing governance frameworks, regulations and technical standards.

The agency also announced two major national cybersecurity standards scheduled to take effect later this year.

The Cloud Cybersecurity Standard goes into effect on Sept 10, while the Website Security Standard 1.0 becomes a rule on Sept 17.
