The US embassy in Yemen on Thursday strongly condemned the killing of Al Arabiya correspondent Mohammed Aydah, who was killed a day earlier when an explosive device detonated in his vehicle in the city of Mukalla, in Hadramout governorate.
“Violence against journalists is an attack on press freedom and public safety,” the embassy said in a statement.
