The Kremlin has elevated the funding of children's military training programs to the highest state level by involving the Presidential Grants Foundation, which was established by Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"The Kremlin is openly demonstrating that the militarization of childhood has become a priority of state policy in Russia," the statement said.
According to the CCD, this is evidenced by the fact that programs teaching schoolchildren military skills are now being financed at the highest level through the Presidential Grants Foundation, created personally by Putin.
"During the latest grant competition, the coordinating committee of Putin's foundation allocated approximately RUB 4.28 billion (more than $57 million). The primary focus of funding was preparing minors for defense operations, assault actions, and the operation of combat UAVs at children's camps," the Center explained.
