He specified that the new US text, agreed with European allies, commits Washington to supporting Ukraine.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.He described the shift as historic, saying “the US for the first time approved a text stating that they are no longer a neutral mediator, but stand with us on supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine, providing military assistance, energy support and sanctions against Russia.”Macron’s unwavering support for UkraineSince the early phases of the Russian war against Ukraine, Macron has reportedly been one of the most risk-acceptant Western leaders on Ukraine – he even offered to send Western troops to Ukraine.“We will do everything possible to prevent Russia from winning this war,” he said.According to him, Europe must be ready to act even without the help of the US, insisting that the defeat of Russia is “indispensable” for Europe’s long-term security and that Western support must include deeper defense-industrial cooperation with Kyiv.Simultaneously, in a joint message with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, he stated that “Ukraine can count on us,” tying continued military aid to a “just and lasting peace.”
