A new player in the horror movie streaming space has arrived.
Genre magazine HorrorHound announced today the launch of HorrorHound TV, a new independent horror-focused streaming platform. The service is set to launch on July 1, with Orin Black’s “The Babysitter Murders: Timing’s Off” set as one of the launch exclusives.
“The Babysitter Murders: Timing’s Off” is “exactly the kind of film [to] define the platform from day one,” the team behind HorrorHound TV said in a statement.
“The platform welcomes feature films, short films, documentaries, fan films, animated horror, experimental works, and genre-bending projects from filmmakers around the world, with a particular focus on helping completed festival titles find new audiences,” they also said in a statement. “Independent filmmakers have been a cornerstone of the organization’s mission since its earliest events, and the new platform extends that commitment by giving genre films a year-round home where audiences can discover them beyond the traditional festival circuit.”
HorrorHound was founded in 2005 as a magazine, and has grown to include a convention, film festival, film division and music division.
