President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a 40-day influence operation proposed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) aimed at pressuring Russia to bring the war to an end.

Zelensky announced the decision on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The President received a briefing from Acting Head of the SBU, Major General Yevhen Khmara, regarding the implementation of Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions” strategy, “medium-range sanctions,” and the combat performance of the SSU’s Special Operations Center Alpha on the battlefield.

“Importantly, for several months in a row, the SSU has demonstrated the highest performance in defending Ukraine’s positions on the front lines through the use of various types of drones. The Center of Special Operations Alpha leads in terms of the occupier’s personnel and equipment neutralized,” Zelensky said.

The president also discussed challenges to Ukraine’s internal security with General Khmara.
