Out in Hollywood has unveiled the 2026 Out Loud list, featuring the best un-produced queer-focused pilot scripts from the past year.
This year marks the sixth installment of the list, with Out in Hollywood once again partnering with Gersh. The chosen writers are set to be feted at a special reception in Los Angeles hosted by Jeff & Maridette Greenberg and sponsored by Writ Large.
“The distinct voices exploring the queer spectrum have never mattered more and they deserve to be heard,” said Logan Kriete, on behalf of the Out in Hollywood board. “These pilots aren’t just a celebration of who we are, they’re a force for change, a demand for empathy, and proof that queer stories move every audience. This year’s storytellers reflect the full range of queer imagination, and they make clear what we have always known: when queer writers are given the space to tell stories freely, they don’t just add to the culture, they push it forward.”
Each script was nominated by queer professionals in the entertainment community and then evaluated through a blind review process led by Out Loud Hollywood’s founding board as well as a guest panel of queer producers and executives. Submissions are evaluated on a number of criteria and a queer storytelling lens adapted from GLAAD’s Vito-Russo Test.
