These days, everything has its own convention. Comic books, sports cards, automobiles, even Star Wars. But what’s the convention for just a bunch of random, awesome stuff? It’s called DesignerCon and, this year, it came back to Los Angeles. As an art collector, I first stumbled on DesignerCon a few years ago when it took place in Anaheim, California. It’s basically what the name says: a convention for artists and creators to showcase their work. And that comes in many different forms with even more subjects, as you’ll soon see. The convention primarily lived in Anaheim for a few years before recently moving to Las Vegas. And while the convention is returning to Las Vegas in a few months (November 13-15, get more info here), last weekend it made its triumphant return to the Los Angeles area in Pasadena. The team was kind enough to give io9 a pass to attend and below is just a small sampling of the amazing stuff we found at the convention. More info on each piece is in the caption.
