Amad couldn't quite sort his feet out from close range, but thankfully Franck Kessie was on hand to sweep it in.It took Germany until the 68th minute to find their response — Nadiem Amiri swung in a brilliant ball for Deniz Undav to volley in for the equaliser. The game looked to be headed for a draw until the fourth minute of stoppage time when Undav struck again for the winning goal, finishing smartly past Yahia Fofana. In a matter of just about 25 minutes, Germany turned the game on its head and stole three points.Curacao's last match Getty ImagesTalk about stealing a point!Despite being dominated in terms of possession, shots, corners, pass accuracy and passes completed, Curacao earned the first World Cup point in their history on Saturday.Ecuador had 75 per cent possession, 15 shots on target, 593 passes completed and nine corners, yet were unable to break through against Curacao, who had just four shots on goal, 221 passes completed and not a single corner. The result was massive for Curacao, though, earning a point after becoming the smallest nation to ever qualify for the event.Today's venue: Lincoln Financial Field Getty ImagesHost city: PhiladelphiaWhat is there to know about Philadelphia? Well, our man Brooks Peck gave us the lowdown in a piece from 2022:✍️“Once the nation’s capital, Philly is rich with history and arguably the most passionate sports fans in the country. “The city has regularly hosted massive events and its geographical location (40 million people are within 150 miles of the city — the most of any in the U.S.) relatively close to fellow hosts Toronto, NY/NJ and Boston creates a nice hub for teams and fans.“Lincoln Financial Field is home to the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, but its first event upon opening in 2003 was a friendly between Manchester United and Barcelona, so soccer is very much a part of its history.”Get involved in the chat!
