MOSCOW, June 25. /TASS/. Moscow has demanded that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres withdraw the decision that put Russia on the list of parties responsible for serious violations of Ukrainian children's rights, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
Zakharova said the UN "does not notice" the numerous terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime on children.
"We demand that Guterres withdraw the decision to include Russia in the aforementioned list and generally work on this report, approach this report professionally," the diplomat said at a briefing, referring to the UN Secretary General's report on children and armed conflict for 2025.
"We strongly condemn Guterres' biased political decision to keep our country on the list of parties responsible for serious violations of children's rights in the context of the situation in Ukraine attached to the report," Zakharova said.
She was outraged by Russia’s inclusion in this list "after [the Ukrainian army] purposefully fired at a bus with children who were traveling from Belarus to rest in Russian resorts, after a college and its dormitory with children in Starobelsk were purposefully attacked, after all what had happened over all these years, including the Alley of Angels, or the children maimed by Petal mines.
