Mr Kerr was reportedly behaving aggressively, assaulting a passenger and a cabin crew member, leading to his restraint by others on board. Upon the flight's arrival, Greater Manchester Police officers found Mr Kerr unresponsive and administered CPR before he was taken to hospital, where he died on Tuesday. Greater Manchester Police are investigating the events that occurred on the flight prior to their arrival. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is also conducting an independent investigation into the police's contact with Mr Kerr, treating officers as witnesses.
