Continued Galaxy Z Fold 8 leaks are revealing more and more about Samsung’s upcoming foldable series, this time including some pre-order perks, the on-the-shelf release date, and some initial impressions from someone who actually held the device.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, as far as leaks have detailed, consists of two devices. The “Ultra” that matches the design and form factor of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the standard model that has a new form factor featuring a much wider inner display.
As we’ve pointed out, that “Ultra” moniker seems strange to say the least, but some hands-on impressions show that it’s pretty pointless.
Leaker Lanzuk on Naver posted some hands-on impressions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series hardware, calling the weight of the wider device “unbelievable.” That’s not due to the weight itself, but the “perceived weight” as a result of the updated form factor. They say it “feels like a new beginning,” and that’s after the Fold 7 was already a big step forward in this regard.
Things go downhill from there.
