Electroconvulsive therapy response in depressive disorder persists for 12 months

About half of adults treated with electroconvulsive therapy for depressive disorder experienced sustained response 12 months later, according to a poster presented at the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Additionally, approximately half of the patients who did not have an immediate response saw improved outcomes at 12 months, according to Simon Kung, MD, associate
