RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief has signed a joint implementation program with an organization rehabilitating six hospitals and establishing three oxygen generation units across Sudan.

The Organization of Competencies for Studies and Human Development is an implementing partner for KSrelief and has been tasked with overseeing major health sector and capacity-building projects.

The program is expected to benefit about three million people directly, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The project includes the provision of essential medical equipment for emergency, intensive care, trauma, operating theater, pediatric, inpatient, recovery, medical imaging and laboratory departments.

It also entails establishing three oxygen generation units at the targeted hospitals, installing equipment and oxygen systems, and training medical and technical personnel to operate them.
