A debate over school-run pyjamas has sparked strong reactions online, and IOL readers are weighing in.

The question, which centred on whether parents should be banned from wearing pyjamas or sleepwear during school drop-offs, offered three options: 'No, schools should not interfere'; 'Yes, a standard of decency should be respected on school grounds'; or that it depends on whether parents stay in the car or step out onto school property.

The responses showed just how divided people are on the issue, with many seeing it as a matter of personal freedom and others arguing it comes down to respect, self-presentation and the example set for children.

For some, the answer was simple: what parents wear during the morning rush is nobody else’s business.
