U.S. President Donald Trump has once again questioned the United States’ involvement in the missile strike on the “Shajareh Tayyibe” school in Minab, stating that he has yet to see any evidence that convinces him the attack was carried out by American forces.
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday, June 24, Trump said: “What happened was terrible, but on that day, there were missiles in the sky from all sides, and someone said it was our missile; well, maybe it wasn’t. I haven’t seen any evidence yet that convinces me it was our missile.”
He added: “Maybe it will never be known whose fault it was.”
The U.S. President then asked Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to clarify the matter. Hegseth responded: “We are taking this investigation very seriously, and when the right time comes, we will announce all the findings.”
The United States has refused to accept responsibility for the attack since it occurred. Trump had previously suggested that the strike might have been carried out by Iran itself, asserting that “Iran’s missiles and weapons lack sufficient accuracy.”
