''Italy and Romania have been explicitly named by the NATO Secretary General as participants in the aggression against Iran. They, along with all other European countries that have supported the American-Israeli aggression against Iran, must explain to their citizens and the world why they chose to collude in this blatant act of aggression and in the mass atrocities committed against the Iranian populations in Minab, Lamerd, Tehran, Isfahan, Sanandaj, Hamadan, Tabriz, Shiraz, Bandar Abbas, and elsewhere.'' Mark Rutte yesterday on Fox News spoke of 500 American planes that took off from Italy to support 'Epic Fury' and this, Baqaei states, ''is a clear and overwhelming admission of NATO's active complicity in an illegal war of aggression against a sovereign member state of the United Nations: a blatant violation of the imperative norms of international law and the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter.'' For this reason, he added, NATO ''and its individual member states that participated in such decision-making must be held responsible for all consequences.''
