I've covered Palihapitiya for nearly 15 years, back to when he left Facebook to try his hand at venture capital, and invited him on "The Axios Show" because he's become one of Silicon Valley's most visible and influential tech investors.
Why he matters: His opinions carry weight in The White House and with hundreds of thousands of All-In podcast listeners, at a time when there's fierce debate over whether AI will strengthen humanity or destroy it.
I found him more introspective than in past discussions, but no less certain of his analysis of current issues and prognostication about where tech is (and should be) headed.
