David Mchoe thought he was simply on family photo duty in Monterrey, Mexico, but the Fifa World Cup had other plans entirely and ended up stealing the show in the most wholesome way.
The Instagrammer shared a video of himself attempting to capture a picture of his parents at the picturesque Paseo Santa Lucía.
Very wholesome. Very, “let me just get one nice picture of mom and dad by the bridge.” Classic parental energy, too, standing there like they’ve been professionally trained to look slightly confused but proud.
While Mchoe was focused on framing the moment, the background delivered something far more special. One of the small lanchas turísticas - the tour boats that glide along Monterrey’s canal - drifted into view, carrying South African fans who were already in full tournament mood.
