U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, June 24, that the Islamic Republic is offering “very big concessions” in the negotiation process with Washington and has no choice but to accept American demands.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said: “The war is going very well. As you know, we’re winning by a lot. Iran is making very big concessions.” He added: “We’ll see what happens, but it has been very, very, very powerful.”
The U.S. President went on to say: “Iran is being very nice. They’re agreeing to everything that I want, and they have to. Otherwise, we just go back and do what we have to do.”
Trump reiterated this stance an hour later after a lunch meeting with Republican lawmakers, stating that Iran is behaving “very well” and is accepting Washington’s demands.
In another part of his remarks, without providing further details, he emphasized that pressure would continue, noting that the final outcome of the negotiations would be determined in the future.
