CARACAS, June 25. /TASS/. At least 32 people were killed and 700 injured after a powerful earthquake struck Venezuela, Reuters reported, citing acting President Delcy Rodriguez.
She added that dozens of buildings collapsed in the state of La Guaira.
According to Rodriguez, rescue workers from other countries will arrive in Venezuela in the coming hours.
The earthquake struck Venezuela on Wednesday night, with two tremors measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 recorded within 40 seconds of each other. The epicenters were located in the state of Yaracuy state, 10 kilometers apart.
