A Stanger grandfather is hailed as a hero after he was shot while bravely defending his family from armed intruders during a home invasion – the third in 12 months.
Jags Raja, 61, was shot in the thigh, when he disarmed one of the robbers.
His son Jithesh Raja said the bullet was still lodged in his father’s thigh as doctors worked to determine how they could safely remove it.
This was the third time that the family had been held at gunpoint and robbed in 12 months.
