MitchellBy The Athletic StaffJune 24, 2026 10:43 pm EDT Updated Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and robbery in Tampa, Fla., last February, the Tampa Police Department announced Wednesday night.Police previously arrested six other people involved in the incident, which was part of an alleged effort to lure three people to an apartment in retaliation for alleged thefts at Arnold’s rental home in Largo, Fla.The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office also announced it will file charges against Arnold.

“Arnold is facing multiple felony charges which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison,” a statement on X read.Arnold’s name appeared in text exchanges plotting the robbery and kidnapping, court records reviewed by The Athletic in March showed.“We are aware of the legal situation regarding Terrion Arnold,” a statement from the Lions read. “We will not comment at this time out of respect for the ongoing legal process.”This story will be updated.
