The World Bank’s State Enabling Business Environment Reforms (SABER) Programme funds are being utilized for the development of the state, Zamfara State Government said.

This was revealed by Governor Dauda Lawal, who was represented by Deputy Governor Mallam Mani Mummuni, during the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) national town hall and state engagement tour in Zamfara State.

The tour was part of a nationwide town hall meeting and stakeholder engagement focused on the current status of the SABER Programme.

The deputy governor said the state needs to strengthen its business sector. To achieve this, the current administration is prioritising the provision of infrastructure that directly addresses the needs and aspirations of business groups within the state.

“SABER aims to enhance the implementation of Business Enabling Reforms. The Zamfara State Government has begun strengthening the systems that support the Business Enabling Environment in its various agencies,” he said.
