The speed limit increases across further provincial highways follows the “safe and successful increase to speeds” on 16 sections of highways since 2022, according to the Ministry of Transportation.
The majority of provincial highways will see speed limit increases from 100 km/h to 110 km/h by the end of September.
According to a Wednesday press release, the higher speed limit will be in place on 89 per cent of provincial highways following the changes, following “the safe and successful increase to speeds” on 16 sections of provincial highways in the last four years.
