DETROIT — The Pistons got the player they wanted at the 2026 NBA Draft.Detroit moved up from pick No. 21 to No. 17 to land Stanford guard Ebuka Okorie on Tuesday night. Detroit sent three second-round picks to the Memphis Grizzlies to jump four spots for the 19-year-old guard. Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon was straightforward when asked about being aggressive in getting Okorie.“We wanted to go get the guy we wanted,” Langdon said. “He’s a guy we targeted in this process, watched a lot of film on him. The whole second half of the season, he was a guy we liked, a guy who would fit what we’re trying to do here. In terms of playing faster and having another guy who can be on the floor, handling the ball, not only scoring but creating for guys on the floor. ”Okorie led all players in the ACC with 23.2 points per game. On the defensive end, bringing intensity, using my quickness, getting in passing lanes and getting a lot of deflections.”
