Member of Parliament and president of Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee V. Vaithilingam has expelled PPCC secretary M. P. Saravanan for indulging in anti-party activities.Mr. Vaithilingam in a communication said the expulsion was initiated based on the recommendations of a Disciplinary Action Committee. “Mr. Saravanan has been expelled from the primary membership of the party for indulging in anti-party activities. His conduct has tarnished the image of the party,” the communication said.Last week, Mr. Saravanan along with other members had written a letter to Mr. Vaithilingam urging him to convene the executive committee meeting to discuss the poor performance of the party in the Assembly election.At a party meeting attended by AICC in-charge Girish Chodankar, Mr. Saravanan had questioned the PPCC chief on his style of functioning.
