A memorandum of understanding to strengthen Indo-Japan relationship has been signed between Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU), Osaka, Japan, and SASTRA, a Deemed to be a University, near here.According to a SASTRA release, the MoU facilitates joint collaboration between both the universities through student and faculty exchange programmes besides promotion of Indo-Japan relationship through various initiatives.The MoU was signed by SASTRA Vice-Chancellor S. Vaidhyasubramaniam and president of OMU Hiroyuki Sakuragi. With this MoU, SASTRA has engagement with five other Japanese Universities - University of Tokyo, Hiroshima University, Tokyo City University, Shimane University and Tsukuba University, and commits itself to work closely with all the six of them in various disciplines including engineering, sciences, philosophy, the release added.
