PNB MetLife settled nearly all individual life insurance claims filed in the financial year 2025–26, recording a 99.81 per cent individual claim settlement ratio and a 99.70 per cent group claim settlement ratio, the company announced today.The insurer paid out ₹526.62 crore across 6,188 individual claims and ₹502.69 crore across 6,868 group claims during the year, bringing total claim payouts to over ₹1,029 crore.Speed of settlement was a notable metric: 99.98 per cent of claims were cleared within 30 days of receiving all required documents, 95 per cent within seven days, and 35 per cent within a single day.The company also processed 1,681 claims worth ₹56.67 crore under its 'Claims Assure – 3 Hours' initiative, under which decisions are made within three hours and final settlement completed within one week.Customers can file claims through PNB MetLife's khUshi mobile app, its website, WhatsApp, partner bank branches, or the company's own offices.MD and CEO Sameer Bansal said the results reflect the company's investments in digital infrastructure and faster service delivery, adding that customers in difficult moments should not face delays or uncertainty in receiving their dues.PNB MetLife is a joint venture between US-based MetLife, Inc. and Punjab National Bank, one of India's oldest public sector lenders. The company operates across 182 offices and reaches customers in over 20,000 locations through banking partnerships.
