Nasir El-rufai, the former Kaduna State governor has arrived at the Kaduna State federal High Court for the continuation of his trial in a case instituted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The former governor who is facing nine-count amended charges bordering on alleged fraud, abuse of office and corruption arrived the court around 9: am.
The case resumed with the hearing of his bail application after his plea was earlier taken. Counsel to the defendant, Ubong Akpan SAN, is leading the defence. El-Rufai denied all the allegations against him and was brought to court by operatives of the commission in a white Hilux vehicle.
Security was beefed up around the court premises as lawyers, journalists and members of the public gathered for the proceedings.
