I run a Substack called Free Thinking Through the Fourth Turning, after all. I care deeply about free speech and oppose censorship. Yet I find myself horrified at what we’ve built. With a newly freed X, thanks to Elon Musk, a backlash against the Left’s decadelong attempt to subvert the First Amendment through internet policing and cancel culture, and a rising independent media with few checks on its power, we are truly putting the First Amendment to the test.
I never thought that 80 years after the Holocaust, whole generations would have no real memory of what genuine genocide or total war looks like. They think the brutal war in Gaza is on par with the Nazis and Adolf Hitler — and no one says it louder or more often than Carlson.I was a big fan back in 2020 when I stumbled out of the insular bubble on the Left and discovered a whole new world of free thought on the Right, where people could say things no one would dare utter on the Left. Only Carlson would talk plainly and truthfully about what we could all see unfolding on the streets of America. His nightly monologues on Fox were the highest-rated for a reason. The writing and delivery were unmatched, and I was hooked. So much so that when Fox abruptly fired him, I dedicated a good portion of my time and my Substack to posting every video he put out as he built his platform on X, YouTube, and Rumble.
