Amazon CEO Andy Jassy is on an India visit and the company said it is expanding its quick commerce service to more than 300 cities in the country.

The quick commerce business unit called Amazon Now is now present in 15 locations in cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Amritsar and Kochi, according to a blog post from the company.

Now, Amazon plans to scale its micro fulfilment centres and urban fulfilment centres to house an expanded selection of daily essentials ranging from groceries (including fruits & vegetables and frozen food), personal care, fashion & beauty products to small appliances, home and kitchen products.

Amazon Now was first launched in June 2025.

The statement said the orders on Amazon Now have doubled every quarter since its launch, making it the fastest growing ecommerce business unit in the history of the company’s operations in India.
