LIMA - Right-wing presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori moved closer to Peru's presidency Tuesday as she maintained her lead in the official vote count by the National Office of Electoral Processes, with 99.859 percent of tally sheets counted as of Tuesday night.
According to real-time results published by the electoral office, Fujimori of the Popular Force party had 50.118 percent of valid votes, while her leftist rival Roberto Sanchez of Together for Peru had 49.882 percent.
